Not allowed to help wife with her Exercises

We have been members for just over 3 years at VA Constantia recently I have been training mostly elsewhere but it is still convenient for my wife. 2 out of the 4 times a week I accompany her and help with her training, keeping count, spotting her etc. I don't do much training myself in this time usually stretching or foam rolling along side her. It seems that the PT's feel I'm encroaching on their territiory as today the PT manager told me I had to train with her not instruct her or take it up with the manager. The manager said I was doing \******* Personal training."Firstly there is no money exchanging hands secondly and most importantly I'm helping my wife! Is this the type of attitude the club is trying to foster? Neither managers really cared to compromise and be understanding. I don't train with my wife because we are worlds apart in goals and sports"
