Northgate Mall Virgin Active unaccountability

<p>I joined the gym in feb and had to cancel my membership 2 months later due to health reasons. I spoke the consultant who processed my membership she said i could cancel the membership without any fees if i provided a doctors letter. I followed her instructions. Had to get a letter twice because the 1st one didnt specifically say i couldnt work out. Went in person she was on leave. Forwarded in an email. No response, After visiting the gym several times to sort it out she switched and said that actually i DID have to pay a fee but at a discount. She even went as far as to say that i was trying to find an excuse to not go to the gym. Appalling. I refused this because it was her onus to give me the correct info to start with. Escalated it to the general manager she said i must forward everything to her and that if the consultant told me this then they had to oblige. Did as she asked and she did not bother to reply to the mail either. Called several times, she's always in meetings. Spoke to another consultant and she blatantly told me that the Manager said "she forgot"to respond and i should give her two days. Two weeks later she emails and says she forwarded the query and is waiting from head office. Its now been another week. What kind of message are you trying to send VIrgin active?? It's literally been 2 months trying to cancel my membership and i have to reverse the debit order every month and i incurr costs and admin. Totally unacceptable how the employees at this branch behave.</p>
