NO POWER
I understand South Africa is experiencing loadshedding. Why aren't there any generators? Virgin Active is supposed to be of the utmost standard. With the monthly fees we are paying, we expect the franchise to have the funds to equip the gym with one. Virgin active is supposed to know when loadshedding will occur, yet I do not get a notification. I waste money on petrol to get from my house to the gym. Would it be that much of a problem just to let your members go to the nearest virgin active even if you don't have national membership? I don't see the point of spending this amount of money just to get turned away at the door. Unacceptable

We understand that load shedding can be disruptive and frustrating for all concerned. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused when you are training in our clubs.
In a few of our clubs, we do have back-up facilities that supply enough emergency power for a short period but not to operate the full facilities in the club for an extended period. We are exploring as many alternatives as possible but like many businesses in South Africa, all face the same challenges of balancing service, significant costs increases and impact on the environment.
Please approach your club general manager with your concerns to keep these lines of communication open. We do listen and assure you that we will do our best to address the problems as they arise.
