No feedback untill I followed up

In January I moved down to Pinetown from Jhb and I have been using the Westville gym since it is the closest both to work and my home. More than a month ago I forgot my training shoes in the changing rooms on a Thursday around 8:15pm. I followed up the next day and my training shoes were nowhere to be found even though the lady that was on duty confirmed seeing the shoes and not taking them up to reception because she thought that the owner was still training/showering. She couldn't confirm if she had looked for the shoes before knocking off and because she hadn't looked she asked me to ask the lady that was on duty the next morning which I did and was given a no to seeing the shoes. I left 3 messages at reception for the cleaning manager as I was advised that this was his area to attend to. Weeks and days went by without getting any feedback (about 6weeks or more now) until I took it upon myself to make follow-up on Monday (14.03.2016) and voiced my frustration about the service I had received and this manager only called me on Tuesday afternoon to tell me that he did not find the takkies. I doubt he even investigated this matter because he never bothered to update me.
