No delivery of service as promised

My husband was employed by Virgin Active from 2012 until the 28th of October 2017 when he unfortunate passed away, his death was and is still a mystery even today 3 months later, the cause of death was poison he was poisoned in his food and the whole matter is still under investigations. The problem that I have with the company is that they are telling me that they are also doing their investigations on their side, the reason why they are busy investigating is that the deceased (Justice Lebyane) was staying with his mother at the time of his death, he had decided to go stay with his mother after we had a misunderstanding like all couples do but the fact was that he was still my husband and i had hope that he was going to come back to us his family, now his mother also filled some documents at his work stating that my husband had left me and the kids and he was now staying with her so she's got the rights as well to his son's benefits, I don't have a problem with that my only concern is the 2 kids that we had together, we 've got 2 kids a boy 10 and a girl 6. I understand that the company have to make sure that they don't do mistakes on thier side hence they need to investigate. Before Justice died i had taken him to court to maintain his kids and i gave proof of that to the employer but the lady( Payroll Department) who's busy with the documents told me that the investigations might take up to 2 years, what about the kids and their school, I think this is not fair to my kids I don't earn a lot of money to continue maintaining the kids without anyone assisting me for 2 years, we don't even have a home of our own we are renting. Since i was once an employee at Virgin Active I know that there's this benefit that if you die the company will continue to take care of your kids until they finish school so my question is that will that benefit be put on hold also for 2 years while they are still busy with the investigations? I am not happy about this and I thought that because i gave them proof of maintenance that my husband was maintaining the kids they would continue with that atleast, I don't really care about the provident funds monies that can even wait they reach 18 years, its fine by me. All I need is for my kids to be taken care of because we can't put our lives on hold for 2 years they still need to go to school and eat and have a shelter over their heads.
