NEVER SIGN ANYTHING WITH VIRGIN ACTIVE!!!!

I cancelled my contract in 2009 or there about. I did everything they asked, gave a written cancellation etc. After a few months I received a call saying that I was in arrears. After a huge battle we found out that the Rustenburg branch never processed my cancellation letter etc. Virgin active assured me that they will correct it on their side. Now I receive sms's that I was handed over 6 years later!!!! How the hell am I supposed to prove anything now? I've moved, got a divorce and life happened. <br> <br> Is Virgin active having money problems? NEVER SIGN ANYTHING AT VIRGIN ACTIVE AS YOU WILL OWE THEM MONEY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.<br> <br> Why after so many years are they again requesting payment for money that I don't owe them? I'm sure the consumer law states that they are not allowed to do this. I will go to court and I will make sure that this gets media coverage as they are trying to force people to pay money they don't owe. We have to create awareness that nobody should sign a contract with Virgin Active. Wonder how many people are experiencing the same problem?
