Money hungry business

Good Day.

I took out a gym membership with my husband on 21 March. We also took out Club V for our son with Louis one of the sales guys at Century City.

At the beginning of April my husband was advised that he could not have his membership due to him owing VA money for rent when he was a PT at the Durbanville branch for the month that he would no longer be working there, he left in March and you guys are expecting him to pay for April when he was not there.

I have since been trying to cancel my and my sons membership but have been advised I need to pay a 40% cancellation fee.

Now im sorry but this is a load of ****. I have to pay a fee for a membership Louis sold us based on the folllowing only: #1 Paying a R50 and not paying for April or May. #2 A free gift for activating Club V in April which we never got. #3 Coming in on 1 May and then activating our Vitality benefit to pay the reduced rate.

Not once did he mention a 40% fee should we change your minds. Not once did he bother to check if there were any issues with my husband's account before selling us the contracts. He was basically in it for the commission from the beginning. I have tried to sort this out directly with him and he is doing nothing about it and is not replying to my messages or calls.

Neither myself or my son who does not even have a card that I paid R145 for has used the club. We also didnt even get the free gift for signing up with Ckub V in March. We dont intend to use the club ever!!!! And do not want to be associated with this establishment if my husband cant be because of a ludacrous and stupid rental fee which he has pay for a month he was not working at VA.

I called the CC to cancel the contract and was told about the 40% fee. I was referred to the club manager at Century City Megan Mckie who is never available to have this fee waivered based on the above. Since calling the CC I have had no confirmation that the contract is cancelled.

I want both these contracts cancelled asap without any 40% fee... how the hell do you expect me to pay for something I have never used. Thats utter nonsense. You people are a bunch of ******* really.

Sort this nonsense out asap!!!!
