Misled

I joined the gym in February 2024, and there was a special running of R260 for 3months, now I’m being told I owe R800. I called virgin active boulders and au spoke to Patience and she told me that in order for me to cancel I need to pay R2000 cancellation fee. Which I was not told about and I’m disputing this cause I was told I cancel anytime or pause my membership if I wanna take a break.

I want my name to be cleared, and I’m not going to pay any amount except the R260 I was told when I joined the gym, and I want my membership to be cancelled.
