Misleading and Cunning

I was contacted near the end of the month last month regarding activating my wellness program with Momentum that i have just joined, and was informed that if i join during this month and move my account into my name (was in my fathers name previously) i would qualify for a R725 cash back in the month of April.

It has taken nearly 2 weeks for this situation to be resolved, as apparently, Virgin Active was sending me emails containing forms i needed to sign and complete to qualify for this cash back. Over the course of these 2 weeks i havent received ANY emails containing any forms (which i find strangely alarming, as i did receive a promotional email from them regarding a competition i could enter). I now have received the forms after the end of the month, however, i now do not qualify for the cash back promotion that was offered to me as it is now a new month.

I find this highly unacceptable as it seems like a plot by Virgin Active to get members on board to sign memberships only to then come up with excuses as to why these said people do not qualify for cash back because the "month is now over". I am extremely disgusted and would like it if someone from Virgin Active can please get in contact with me to resolve this matter and ENSURE i get the R725 cash back i was promised , especially considering i pay R693 to Virgin, per month in membership fees.

Additionally, i pay this large sum of money to Virgin only to have some of the smaller clubs full of old and outdated equipment. The people at these clubs pay the same amount as those at your so-called "flagship" gyms yet they must use old, out-dated and dilapidated equipment. I complained about the equipment at Sunward Park branch roughly 3 years ago, and to this day not a single piece of new equipment has been placed into that gym. Sad, sad service from Virgin Active on all accounts.
