misleading

I was on the walker and when i heard the announcement for the class i was waiting for, rushed off, not realising that i had left my phone, bb z3 3months old, at the machine as i was not use to using it at the gym. about 40min later when i realised i had left it there, i rushed back but it was gone. we tried calling it but the phone was off. The manager and one of the consultants checked the cameras and the manager said that the machine i was on was not in range on the camera! this seems silly to me that there are 4cameras in the cardio area and none could pick up the machine and that, up until my incident , they did not know that the camera does not pick up that section of the gym!! Does that make sense! just this morning another guys samsung s4 was left in the loo and he went back about 5min later and it was gone! last tues i asked the manager if i could view the footage myself, he said it would be of no use as the machine is not in view on the camera and he will now have it changed. wonder if it has been changed yet! i am not blaming them for the loss of my phone, but it would have helped it i could have seen the footage of machine i was on and who took my phone!
