Milpark Virgin Active - Warning

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing to you to raise an issue about: Gym

The issue that I have experienced was: My phones were ****** from my locker at the gym. They were inside my backpack in a locker. I had the locker locked with a padlock but when I got back from my session, the padlock had been tampered and both my work and personal phone were missing. I reported this to the floor manager and she told me that it had happened to another person.

Unfortunately the dressing rooms don't have a camera so they were not able to see who took them.

The manager spoke so casually and asked me if I wasnt aware of the crime rates in South Africa. He sent me off claiming that one of his senior managers would call me but I have not recieved any call since.

I expect that virgin active a reputable company can assure its clients some safety.

I am now afraid and unable to go to the gym but membership has been paid and am contracted for at least afew more months. The attitude attached to this was completely unacceptable disappointing and I demand my phones back.

My phones are my lifeline, as a journalist all my contacts are located there, my backing details are attached to them, am going crazy - a serious inconvenience and a complete nightmare trying to get a new phone, while meeting my normal daily work life and family responsibilities- complete madness. The iPhone XR was a work phone and I had it for less than 3 months old.

I took specific attention to keep my phones in the locker padlocked and in a bag according to your instructions knowing that I can trust the safety of this gym. To be asked if I didn't live in South Africa...why have lockers, and asked us to lock our personal property if by reasoning of us being in South Africa are already at risk.

We pay alot of money to go to the gym - virgin especially is most expensive, sacrifices have been made and it's not a luxury but a need - a very expensive need for some of us to be asked if I am confused about my location was complety demeaing and condescending very rude.

So next time you go to Milpark virgin Active. Take your personal belongings with you. I can assure you that I will not stop untill this matter has been resolved. I will not.
