MEMBERSHIP FEES CHARGED DISPUTE

I joined the club via telephone I think February 2024 and with vitality benefit and I paid the joining fee and I am on vitality but I never actually went to the gym I registered for not once to go activate .I joined a 12 month cotract which was suppose to end Jan 2025.They called me and I told them to cancel it.Today I am receiving a call that I am owing the around 8k and I am asking why because his was a 12 month and I was on vitality how did they come to that.They told me that they received instruction from vitality to terminate the benefit and that is not true because I can see the benefit is still active and vitality is not aware of that on their side it shows active.I told the to check the recording of the calls cause I did give the instructions to cancel this membership because I never went not even once and how come its still active whereas it was just a year and I told them to cancel it long time and how why was the vitality being disregarded .They must go and check the recordings the lady became rude and told me you must just pay what you saying wont help because ur vitality benefit was removed and I am asking how come because its still active on my side .Who sent that instruction because as far as I know I am the one who said they need to cancel but was never cancelled
