Membership cancelation

I am a student and I joined Virgin active around December in 2018, since I'm doing late classes n I've relocated I asked if is gonna be possible if they move me to another gym close by but the response I got was I can't. So now that since my demands or request wasn't meet I asked to cancel my membership I was told I need to pay a cancelation fee that about R2000 which is something I can't afford, the person who was paying is no longer working n I'm a student...
