MANAGER ORDERS MEMBER TO RESIGN AS A MEMBER AT THE CLUB OR MOVE MEMBERSHIP TO ANOTHER CLUB

Virgin Active RED PAROW advertised STEP CLASSES on a Wednesday from 6 to 7pm however, we were not getting step but a toning class. It is called a STEP CLASS but definitely NOT STEP!!!

Steps are raised on it's highest level to the detriment of the individual which will inevitably lead to long term knee injury just to mention one part of the leg that can be compromised with the step raised. Also, heavy dumb bells are utilised and a mat is also used. Now step in its pure form does not call for the items mentioned above and when I approached management about it, I was advised that I must speak to the instructor which i did. It turned out that the instructor who is" giving" step classes refuses to give a step class now and threatened to resign. The programme now changed to read STEP AND WEIGHTS! After I questioned why STEP? and weights. It is a statement to mislead people. I was told it is UNIQUE to Virgin Active Red Parow:(

The manager told me in no uncertain terms that my contract with VIRGIN RED a downgrade from the usual membership and that I should be content with what I get. Because all that we should have gotten at VIRGIN RED is only grid classes....I was told that I can resign as a member of the club alternatively move to another club. I have referred others to VIRGIN RED PAROW and completely disappointed in how we are treated. Is the instructor there because members are paying their membership fees and supporting the class he/she is offering or is the instructor there because she just feels like being their???? Is the manager there because members are paying their fees??? I was misled into believing that there are step classes, as that was one of the reasons that I entered into a contract with VIRGIN ACTIVE RED initially. Where's the drive to provide good quality service especially since we paying for it! Is Virgin Active prepared to deal with medical suits for injuries sustained during a workout because of the instructor? Where has my rights gone to especially if I am paying for something because of what it advertised? The manager Meena Minini told me that I can inform any other disgruntled STEP ***** that they can move their membership to another club. Is VIRGIN ACTIVE as a brand going to pay for the transfer to another club????
