Making it impossible to change debit order details

I have been trying to change my debit order details, but Virgin Active does not allow for this on their website or app and is completely non-responsive on their email helpline. The only reason I cannot close my old bank account, and am thus still paying for it, is because I have 1 remaining debit order attached to it...Virgin Active.
