Losing Vitality points at Virgin Active Eco Park
It's been almost a month now that the access control system at the Virgin Active Eco Park front entrance has been down. To accommodate Vitality members, who would otherwise lose Discovery points, Virgin Active have placed two access control books on the front counter where gym members all have to queue early in the morning to fill in a form, to record their gym visit. A week or so of this kind of inconvenience is understandable. A month is unforgiveable. Moreover, the level of nonchalance with which the Virgin Active Eco Park staff regard this issue leads me to believe that Virgin Active do not take the Vitality points system very seriously at all. Vitality points translate to actual hard currency, and since I do not have the time to queue at five a.m. to fill in a register, by now I estimate I've lost more than a thousand Vitality points and several hundred Rands already. Surely a month is long enough to fix a broken access control system?!
