Injury at Virgin Active shower facility

I have been a Virgin Active member for about 15 years. On the 27th of October I was using the shower facilities at the Virgin Active Grayston Drive in Sandton. After my shower I opened the shower door to grab my towel, the shower door came off its hinges and fell onto my big toe causing serious injury to my toe. The shower door is made of a heavy plastic looking material, it is quiet heavy. Other fellow member who were using the shower facility heard the crash of the shower door and my grunting of pain and came to assist me out of the shower and onto one of the sitting benches by the locker area in the changeroom. A cleaning personnel noticed what was happening and pressed the emergency panic button and some staff members came for assistance which was as per my expectation. They dressed my wound, asked if they should call an ambulance, which I declined, they put ice on the injured area and took my ID number. Days later I did not hear anything from Virgin Active to find out how I'm doing or to explain to me how it possible that the shower door can fall off of its hinges or any explanation as to how the incident occurred. On another occasion, I went to the gym and asked them for an explanation and I was told that no investigation on the incident was performed. It felt like nothing was done about the incident. I sent 2 separate emails on different occasions regarding this matter to the Virgin Active customer care email address that was posted on a poster at the gym facility which stated that any query sent to that email address will be attended to with in a week and more than a month now, I have still not received any feedback from Virgin Active. My big toe has still not recovered and it appears that Virgin Active is not bothered of gym users getting injured whilst using their facilities in a manner which it was intended to be used.
