inconsistent advise and ******* by virgin active staff

<p>After many years with the gym I went to VA in Victoria in Pietermaritzburg to request cancellation of my membership after I was told I cannot suspend it for 6 months as my doctor had advised me to stop gym as I was having a difficulg pregnancy. A month later I got a call being recruited again and when I conveyed my story I was told I should not have been told to cancel the membership should have been suspended. After giving birth I went back to VA in Victoria asking for the membership again and was told I need to pay R1590 for activation as I was using vitality and the consultant told me yes the membership should have been suspended not cancelled but anyway it depends who you get at the front. I found this treatment down right unfair and a ******* on the part of the staff. If the gym has policies in place they should be app**** consistently regardless of who you deal with. I would really rather sign with another gym than be ****** to pay for something that should have been suspended not cancelled from the beggining but was advised wrong to make money out of me. Instead of undeestanding my grievance was advised to take membership without vitality and pay R440 instead of R133 which is absurd. The lady ended up saying she will contact head office and get back to me I am waiting for her response but i am dissapointed in VA. </p>
