******* Charges - This act needs to be exposed!

I would like to know how it is legal for virgin Active to accrue charges on a month to month contract account, for services they suspend on the first default of payment? According to the consumer protection act, I shouldn't be charged for a service not rendered. So, what allows virgin Active to charge me for 3 months of a defaulted payment, when I have exited their obligatory payment of 12 months. I have no obligation to pay virgin Active beyond a month and if I default, even without termination, the contract should lapse. What baffles me is the accrual of monthly fees against me.

My question remains, how is it legal to accrue charges against an account that runs on a month to month basis? Upon the first default of payment, access to the services is suspended by virgin active. This means virgin active provides no service to me using their facilities. Upon the next default of payment, why is a month to Month contract accruing charges for no service rendered? I am no longer obligated to pay a service fee for 12 months and therefore, it is ******* accrue my service fee.
