I have never gym or sign up but I am handed over

I have never sign up for the gym before, I have never gym from birth but lately I wanted to join virgin active due to health reasons I am told I am owing and my account was handed over and no one was willing to assist me further they keep on saying I must pay the money I don't even know the gate or doors of the gym for heaven sake, why virgin active handed over without consulting me if I was a member I have tried so hard to query and sort this out, thy not responding to emails, I've called the branch in Durban thy told me thy can't assist it an online account and was handed over... Virgin Active kindly clear my name if u need to do camera checks kindly do it as I have never ever signed a gym deal, I have never ever join the gym, and I have never gym in my life if I wanted to I will do it throu discovery health as I am member not this. Pleas sort this out as now I need to join but my name was handed over
