Hello, In October 2021, I saw an advert on Instagram regarding a promotion to join Virgin Active and get the first 2 months for free. I then decided to join and went to the Kyalami Corner Branch. On my arrival there, the Sales Consultant told me that I do not qualify for the promotion as I am not on Vitality with Discovery. I then asked whether I would qualify for the promo in November if I join Virgin Active and Vitality in November and she said yes. We then went ahead with signing the contract for start date: 1 November and she arranged for a Vitality consultant to call me to join Vitality as I am already on the Discovery Medical Aid. The call was seamless and both the Virgin Active and Vitality Sales consultant explained that the process was complete, and all was done. As expected, I then saw the Vitality deduction on my payslip in November 2021. To my surprise, in November 2021 I also saw a deduction from Virgin Active of R1030.00 instead of R0 for both November and December as per the promo. I then reversed the debit order and received a call from Virgin Active and I explained that I do not understand why there's any deduction as I joined during the promo and was assured that it will still be valid in November, the consultant then asked me if I went to Virgin Active to link the Vitality and I said no, as I was not aware that I need to do this since I was transferred to the Vitality consultant by the Virgin Active consultant during my sign up. I was under the impression that they work together, collaborate and finalize the admin. I was then told that this was not the case and that I should go to Virgin Active to link the Vitality. When I went to do so, I was told that I will now need to pay R3290.33 to link the Vitality to my membership, which is an issue and so unfair. Instead of deducting R250 as I am a member of Vitality, they are still deducting R1030.00 and I am not getting any help when I talk to them. I now don't know if the promo was a **** to draw people in and mislead them without giving them full info or all steps to qualify but I know this is not right and I need your assistance please.
