How Corporates abuse the consumer

As a long standing paying (and user) of my local Virgin gym, I find their recent treatment of me as a customer highly distasteful. An incident created by a member (with a long history of incidents) verbally attacking one of the clubs instructors, where I was forced to intervene and defended the club staff, where their own staff were unable to handle the situation, led to my suspension from the club. Based on the explanation given that my reaction to the racial attack that I endured, was against club policy. Once gain the corporate is able to squash their supporting customers. I find it highly unacceptable that Virgin is so empowered to take action as best suites them, and as such don't deserve my patronage.

Hello DionSo,

Thank you so much for taking my call today Mr. Sione

We appreciate your intention when you stood up for the staff member at our Glen Acres club however, the manner in which this was done is not in line with our rules and regulations and the type of behavior displayed ultimately lead to the suspension.

We must encourage members not to take matter into their own hands but to approach the manager on duty in order to manage the situation.

We would like to assure your that all the necessary steps were followed before making the decision.

Kind regards
Robyn
