HARRASSMENT FROM VIRGIN ACTIVE AGENTS

I am being harassed by Virgin Active call agents. In December 2019, a call agent convinced me telephonically to sign up to join Virgin Active Kenilworth. Of course, I was looking for a gym to train at. At the time, I was still employed. Shortly thereafter, I discovered that my employment contract was not going to be renewed. Currently, I am still unemployed and looking for employment. I have NEVER made use of the gym on realizing my predicament. I have told agents that I cannot honor any payments. Agents rather ask me if I don't know anyone that can assist me to pay it. Every day a different agent calls me. They will not hold off the contract or cancel it. This is the nature of business in SA. Yes, there was a commitment at the time - however, in a space of a few weeks... I realized that I am in serious trouble. People, if this is the attitude of Virgin Active, then I will contact Richard Branson myself to report this lack of understanding, This is absurd. And even though I explain my predicament - another agent will call the next day with the same demand for payment. Never ever used the gym once!!! So, even though I cannot afford rent, food, etc - I am being told to make a plan to ask someone to assist me. Go ahead, blacklist me. We will see.
