Harrasment and No Show Appointments
Dear Virgin Active,

A significant amount of time is spent on getting individuals to RE-join your gym. I understand wholeheartedly that ensuring membership growth is a key strategic imperative to ensure fiscal growth and sustainability. Marketing is therefore a priority! However, your 'agents' are bordering on harassment. Ive received 27 phone calls in in a 7 week period from one of your agents. It has gotten so ridiculous, that I even had to block his number off my phone. The particular agent, Martin, got hold of me on my landline 8 days ago and we made an appointment for today 16h30 to have a discussion.

Upon arriving today at the Gym (wanting to join for a two year period and to pay the fee upfront), he was not available (at the time of the appointment). This is not only wasting my time, and looking past the harassment, is totally disrespecting me as a person.

A tip for your training: Rather teach them not to STALK and HARASS your potential customers.... and teach them some professionalism. Basics - Stick to appointments.

In effect, I will certainly not be joining again. (Although I have been a member for MANY years)
I have tried to touch base with you via your mobile phone but to no avail.
Thank you for taking the time to bring these concerns to our attention.
We apologise profusely for the level of service received from us.
I have escalated this concern to our Regional managers who will address this urgently. Please rest assured that the necessary training will be implemented.
Kindest regards
Robyn
