Harassed by staff

<p><span style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22.5px;">Today was a very sad day for me after many of years being a member of Virgin gyms. I have 4 children, of which 2 of them are now 9, and not allowed in V-club any more for the past year. So for the past year they have been training on allowed equipment in the cardio section.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22.5px;">Today I was approached during my training session and instructed that my kids could not be on any of the cardio equipment unless I was not "right next to them". I proceeded to ask how could I, as I was weight training and the kids are not allowed to be in the weight section at all. I imformed the representitive I could see them at all times, mirrors and all and I was 15 meters away from them at all times. </span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22.5px;">The answer I got to this was just bad attitude.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22.5px;">I then asked the representitive to please fetch the rule book. With SERIOUS attitude she fetched it, and it says "accompained and supervised". And I agree with them as I was supervising, meaning to observe and keep watch over. They are accompanied, meaning to be with or be present. </span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22.5px;">No where does it state I must at least 5 meters from them at all times????? I was spoken to with such attitude and disrepect due to their interpretation of the rules to say the least. </span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22.5px;">Further to that, the same rules never applies, as my kids have been training on the exact same cardio equipment for the past year and no one has said something. As a matter of fact, we were advised by various employees with regards to what equipment they are allowed on. And for a year there was no issue.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22.5px;">I simply dont understand how this representative expects any parent with a child over 8 to train in weights, and stand right next to their child in cardio???</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22.5px;">I feel i was picked on in front of other virgin members for no plausible reason. And then a group of employees standing together were clearly discussing me and looking at me and my kids. So much so, that I gathered everyone and left straight away. </span></p>
