Gym membership cancelation additional costs

I have not been to Virgin Active since 28 August 2025. Last week i cancelled my gym membership for LM Muthaphuli, and paid the penalty. The operator on the line informed me that I will pay an additional amount on 14 October 2025. Why will I be paying for a service I am not using and given I paid the penalty for cancelation of my contract.??
