Guest Instructor messed Special Day at Virgin Active Gateway

I am a member of Virgin Active since 2014 and never did I see a incident that i did at Virgin Active Gateway yesterday...

We all were so excited as our favorite two Lucy and Ashlyn have planned a Zumba for 90 minutes as it was Lucy's birthday, So the ladies and I were looking forward for this event and we learned there was a guest instructor so we were quite happy as we welcome anyone who comes to our class. However the guest instructor had a very negative approach and was very cruel and harsh and made comments which made me very uncomfortable and not polite at all.

I really don't know how Ashlyn held himself together when Sheralee was been so rude and harsh to him, he never uttered a word and was calm. I felt if there was a issue then it should be done with respective parties and in a dignifying manner and approach not just shouted on the floor for members to hear nasty comments.

The mood was killed and it wasn't a good sight at all. there was so much of tension and hostility created by Sheralee again who was just a guest. I am very disappointed and speechless that such a hasty thing be done in front of members. Then to go in the back of the class and gossip while Lucy and Ashlyn was dancing, totally not on at all.

I always enjoyed the zumba events at any Virgin Active especially Gateway as Lucy and Ashlyn always go the extra mile for us- they spoil us with gifts and tokens and all from their side but for Sheralee to behave in a racket and cause disruption is very not on. The actual fact that she was picking on peoples creditability says she really has insecurities and is not a team player.

The ladies and I at Gateway are always supportive for change and are happy with new instructors and when you treat people poorly and with no respect its such a sad reality. Doesn't matter if you're white or black - apartheid days are day and dusted, its time to shine and be part of this beautiful diverse country and allow people of different races to do well and be supportive.

I saw that yesterday while the other instructors were on stage Sheralee just sat there with that stubborn face not supporting the other instructors, yet the other instructors supported her as well and was very co-operative.

Sheralee is just fighting to have many classes and I am disgusted as she has 3 already but wants more and not allowing for other instructors to flourish. She was talking so bad with the ladies from La Lucia about the other instructors and how she is having classes in Gateway and to support her and not Lucy and Ashlyn. This is not how you should carry on. Unacceptable behavior!!!

After this incident the ladies and I are quiet disappointed on Lucys special day that this drama had to unfold- this is just childish behavior and it makes us question our standing if we will be heard or not or if this is swept under the carpet. I can assure you if Sheralee is not reprimanded for her actions- Gateway could lose members because of one persons selfish ways and blowing up their own ego.
