Good day I am extremely unhappy with this account for my son Kade Vermaak
Good day I am extremely unhappy with this account for my son Kade Vermaak. He opened this account sometime last year 2023. He was 18 but still in school. I would like to know how are scholars who are unemployed being allowed to open a virgin active account without consent from parents? What is the policy and procedures when they apply. Personally in my opinion there should be steps taken when someone age 18 applies for membership. First of all this is not a month to month contract, it is a 24month contract which needs a commitment of payment each month. It’s the same thing as going to Vodacom and applying for a cellphone contract. Vodacom will ask for employment details and proof of income. Once they see you are unemployed they will decline the application. Virgin active should be taking the same steps too. Secondly we do not live in Kimberley anymore more where the account was opened. We live in a town where there is no club for him to go to. I would gladly pay his membership for him if he could have used it. Now the contract was cancelled and penalties fees have been added which now leave me with an account of over R3000 that I have to pay for a service we not receiving. I had no knowledge of this account at all. I found out about when they called to inform him it was cancelled. I want further steps to be taken for the consultant who gave this account to my son without even asking for any proof of income to make sure he can even afford the payments every month. If someone can contact me his mother as soon as possible on *** regarding this matter. Thank you Danielle Vermaak Sent from my iPhone
