False sales strategy used by a sales person

I recently joined virgin active at corner lake road & william hills road.

I was reffered by a friend named Yvette who had also recently joined the same branch.

The sales person handling my admission (Shaun Mashigo) sat me down and discussed my contract options and as per our agreement on the day of me taking membership, the debit order i received was not what i had signed up for.

I received an sms 1 day before the 1st of february saying i would be debited R450 but i had signed up for R350. I spoke to the consultant a day prior to the debit day and he ensured me i had nothing to worry about. The day i the debit order was incorrect i tried to see him and he avoided contact by walking away from me and the friend who referred me to this branch and till this day i have received no update on my case

I feel like this was a case of a sales person who is quick to make a sale and leave a customer hanging once he has reached his target. Is this really the type of service Virgin Active employees give to their customers?

I am really disatisfied as my other debit order bounced because of this incorrect information and dishonesty recieved from an employee of a company i've always had good things to say about till now.

I am clearly tied to a contract i didnt sign up for due to being misled.
