Empty promises and no fair solution

I joined Virgin Active in December 2022 without a Vitality membership. I was told that I could sign up at Virgin Active and then join Vitality and Virgin active will only debit me the Vitaliy rate once they link my gym membership. I paid an activation fee in December 2022.

However, Virgin Active has been debiting me the normal gym rate and Virgin Active has not yet linked my Vitality membership. I've been back and forth trying to find a fair solution with no success.I have been advised, by Virgin Active, that I must pay another activation fee so Virgin Active can link my gym membership to Vitality. I refuse to pay another activation fee and really want to cancel my membership, but of course, I need to pay a ridiculous amount for that too. Extremely disappointed!
