Empty Promises

On the 17th of June Reginah Mahlangu came to my Office and signed me up for Gym membership at the Little falls branch. I had asked her for a gym bag as this was one of the attractions of signing up at Virgin Active. I was aware that if you signed up at the new Honeydew branch you would receive a new bag. When i asked about the new Honeydew Gym she had no information and could not tell me anything. She promised to look into it and asked if i would like any other merchandise of which i said yes. Since that encounter she has responded by email stating that it was not possible outside of promotional months. I feel that she had lured me into signing the contract by offering me the possibility of getting merchandise, especially the bag. Later that week I was also promised a free fitness assessment but since i could not travel to Edenvale i asked if i could do it at little falls and the person on the phone promised to set it up. To date nobody has contacted me. I have contacted National Head Office about this and they tried to contact the Branch Manager of Edenvale but they could not reach him at the time.
