DON'T FALL FOR THEIR PROMOS

I got a email in September 2016 from Virgin Active where they had a promotional offer - if you join before a certain date you get a R750.00 Addidas voucher.

Upon selecting which club I want to join on their website, I accidentally selected the wrong club (Century City, I meant to select CENTURION). A guy from Century City by the name of Paargen Pillay phoned me to sign me up.

I then told him that I selected the wrong club and I want to join Centurion Club and would rather phone them. He then told me that it is not a problem and that he would assist me to join at the Centurion Club. I then signed a 24 month contract for membership at the CENTURION CLUB. When I asked him when I would receive or how I will receive the Addidas vouchers he said that I would get an SMS.

About 2 months later, no SMS and NO voucher... When I queried this at the Centurion branch, they said I did not qualify for the Addidas voucher because I did not sign up throug a Centurion Club agent..

So basically the agent from CENTURY CITY **** to me just to get a sale and his commission.

When I phoned the Virgin Active call centre to complain or query this, the lady just basically told me that that is how it is and there is nothing she can do about it.

I WILL EVENTUALLY CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP, I CANNOT HANDLE THIS BAD SERVICE ESPECIALLY FROM A BIG COMPANY LIKE VIRGIN. THEY DO ALL THE BEST ADVERTISING JUST TO GET YOU SIGNED UP..

DON'T GET CAUGHT IN THEIR PROMO TRAPS!!!

BTW, my brother is also still waiting for a Virgin Active bag which he was supposed to get about 2 years ago......
