Do not waste your time or money!!

Wow! After seeing all the bad reviews I do not even know how this place is still open

My husband and I joined last year, the one in Greenstone, and we were told that we were signing a six-month contract and would touch base on if we would like to stay on further once the six months are over especially since we were still with our other gym When six months passed, we phoned them to cancel as the gym is so overcrowded you have to wait to use a machine which means you run late to get to work not even mentioning that the staff is rude and everyone thinks they are better than one another Anyway we try to then cancel since the six months were up just to be told that we actually signed a two-year contract and that they wanted almost R9000 for both me and my husband to cancel Which is absolutely ridiculous Anyway we decide to stick with the gym and push through the next two years even though the gym demotivates us as we do not enjoy going there at all Last week Tuesday, the 31st of January 2024, we pitch at the gym just to find out that our cards do not work and that we are no longer members at the Greenstone branch but instead at the Glen Marais branch - HOW IF WE LIVE IN THE GREENSTONE AREA HOW CAN YOU JUST CHANGE SOMEONE’S MEMBERSHIP WITHOUT WARNING? Also the guy that signed us up does not even work there any more This already says a lot

We then asked to see the manager just to be told by someone that is honestly incapable of communication that the manager would phone me This did not happen On the 1st of February which was the very next day I phoned the main branch and spoke to a very friendly guy, to also be told that the manager would phone me from the head branch This also did not happen! 2 managers that care so little

I am absolutely livid and will not ever step foot in a virgin active ever ever again and I will make sure to tell everybody else to not waste their time or money I will not pay for this

Disgusting service and honestly just a big trap to get peoples money
