Dishonestly selling memberships.

Good day my name is Joshua Dietloff I was a member with Virgin Active since 2017. However, I had to cancel my membership due to employment. However I was unaware of my arrears due to my mom being the payer. I decided to join the brand again end 2024 and I am sorely dissatisfied in the service I have received this far. To begin, I was contacted by a consultant named warren from the Brackenfell, and I mentioned to him I would like to join, after a week or so I settled my arrears and signed up. I was unaware of the misinformation provided by the consultant with the sole attempt to get a sale. I was told upon signing up that mt first debit order would be 31st December and that it would be 60% off. I was shocked to see my account being debited at the end of November. Due to time and distance, I was unable to visit the branch at which I signed up to clear up any confusion. I was told at the branch that there was a miscommunication and that I should pay the debit order. I payed the debit order. Things got worse, i was told I would receive 30% off my first month and 60% the two months following. However when I signed up the debit amount was 385 per month. I was shocked to see that my debit order end of December was R410. As not only was my discount not app**** but it was 25 rand more than my monthly instalment. When I contacted the consultant, his response was unprofessional and nonchalant. His response was simply an image of the tariff increase clause of which I was not made aware upon sign up. I was frustrated at this point because the consultant who had signed me up could not care any less as to how he could assist the client whom he had signed up. Unfortunately this is a reflection on the etiquette of the sales staff at virgin active as I sought assistance from a second consultant, Tyron, at the okavango branch (where I am training). I explained the situation and I was told to wait 24-48 hours to clarify the matter, however upon following up I was ignored, my messages read and disregarded. I could not train for almost two months at this point, I was contacted by a friendly lady, Megan sodom, regarding my arrears, I explained the situation and she offered me the promotion once again, however I was instructed to wait an hour to pay, due to unforeseen circumstances and personal issues I was distracted and remembered to pay the amount via a link. I paid the amount and when I went to train the next day I was told that I payed it too late and that I do not qualify for the promotion, however I was not made aware of the time limit. I was told I should pay the rate offered to me and that my membership would be up to date. It is almost two months now, I am being told my account is in arrears and I am even being contacted by accountants from virgin active. Everyone is promising to sort it out and help the matter however once the call or the conversation ends I am just another number. I advise, should you decide to sign up please clarify all details, the good and the bad. As many of the consultants sugarcoats the deal and disregards the member as soon as the membership is signed. If it is not a sale nobody could care less. I am being charged every month, however I cannot train.
