Discovery and Virgin Active are ********

******** Virgin Active and Discovery Vitality. I paid R1800.00 to join Virgin Active and received a discount on my gym membership. That was a long time ago. Fast forward, the VA was only allowing 50 people inside the facility due to COVID in 2020. Because of the long lines, I had to stop going to the gym. I had been out of the gym for over 16 months. Then, in October of 2021, I decided to suspend my membership due to the difficulty in accessing the facility. I was told that they will deduct 20% of the gym price from my account. Then I realized I was debited at a rate of more than 80%, not 20%. I inquired as to why I had not been credited 20% as I had been told. According to the consultant, we are charged 20% less than the regular rate of people who do not have vitality. My issue is that we paid R1800 to join the gym, and we continue to pay Vitality every month, and discounted gym fee every month. So, why aren't we getting our 20% as promised in our pay? That struck me as both absurd and greedy on the part of both Discovery Vitality and Virgin Active.
