Disappointing Experience at Virgin Active Northgate – outdated and Poorly Maintained Equipment
I have been a member of Virgin Active Northgate for some time now (since 2015 to be precise) and I continue to increasingly be disappointed with the gym’s condition. There has been major issues with the equipment. Most of the equipments have been confirmed to be hand-me-downs that have been supposedly refurbished, but it’s clear that many pieces are outdated, and in disappointingly poor condition.
It is not only frustrating to see equipment frequently out of order, but even when they are working, they often feel unreliable. This constant cycle of broken equipment is simply unacceptable, especially for a gym of this brand.
For the price we pay, we expect well-maintained, modern facilities to give us workout experiences that we pay for. The company continues to benefit from our revenue contribution but does not care enough to give us equipment that just *works*.
I have proof that I almost broke my ankle due to old and machines that just don’t work (for the second time - I might add). I am sure what Virgin Active would say is just “sorry”
I would not recommend this gym club to anyone until these issues are addressed if you care enough about “value for your money”. The experience is just not up to standard, and it is disappointing to see a brand like Virgin Active neglecting its members this way.
