Despicable Business Ethics

<p style="color: #555555;">Having relocated I decided to join my nearest gym. Virgin Active Sunninghill.</p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;">I was received by a genteman by the name of Ben. All seemed well at first and and It was nothing less than expected. Having been injured shortly after my visit I did not jump at the opportunity to join until such time I was fit again. Which still would have been in the same month.</p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;">Within 2 weeks of my visit I received a message from Ben.</p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;"> "<span style="background-color: #ffffff;">im sorry about wat happened to u hope u are ok. if u want and are fit enough u can come thru and we join u at no joining fee wth the Vitality fee deferred to paying at monthend. and this month is on us"</span></p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">Having intended on joining soon anyway I naturally took advantage of the sales person's offer. And met with Ben shortly after.</span></p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">However when I got there and took care of the normal procedures, he asked for my card and details. Which I'd imagine was for the monthly fees to come.</span></p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">Astonished I found that the joining fee was the normal rate of R1590. Furthermore a debit order went down for an amount more than the monthly fee. (I stand to be corrected)</span></p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">I was not able to go to the gym yet not feeling fit enough. But I seriously dont even want to go after this whole experience. It's put me off completely. My 1st experience with Virgin Active Sunninghill has left a bitter taste in my mouth to say the least. </span></p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">I'll be sure to convince any colleague, family or friends not to join this health club merely because of this experience.</span></p> <p style="color: #555555;"> </p> <p style="color: #555555;">Like I said...
