De*****s Clients - Ignores own terms and conditions

Virgin Active's Terms and Conditions provide that notice of termination must be given to the client's HOME BRANCH.

A minimum of 20 (twenty) business days' notice is required to cancel a contract that is on a month-to-month basis.

I personally, hand delivered notice of termination to The Sanctuary Virgin Active (my home branch) on 19 July 2019 giving 29 (TWENTY-NINE) business days' notice that the contract should terminate on 31 August 2019. Tasneem at reception signed and dated both the letter of termination for Virgin Active. together with my duplicate original as proof of delivery/notice given.

Virgin Active did not terminate the agreement as they are required to do in terms of their own contract and charged me for 10 additional days into September, stating that their HEAD OFFICE only got notice in August. The terms and conditions do not require this.

I have contacted Virgin Active 3 times (interacting with Vuyo, Yusrah and Shinay), and sent a copy of the signed and dated notice of termination letter twice. Nothing.

In fact, Virgin Active called to today asking if I wanted to revive my contract and the lady concerned hung up on me when I explained the above situation.

This is ***** Virgin Active. *****.

How dare you ignore your own contractual terms! How dare you de***** your customers! This is not the last you will be hearing of this.
