Debt after debt

<p>I signed a contract with virgin active around 2010 and was handed over to MBD attorneys, a consultant approached me to open a contract. I explained that I had an account and was handed over to MBD. He then said they would write off the old debt and I could sign up a new contract with I agreed to. I then went into arrears with the second account which was also handed over to MBD which I paid off in October 2015 ( never received a paid up letter which I asked them to send me on numerous times.) I was then contacted by MBD in the beginning of May saying that Virgin active has handed me over. I could not understand!!!! after paying off my account and not getting a paid up letter!!! I then phoned them numerous times and finally someone helped me. Explained that it was the account from 2010.</p> <p>Virgin active does not want to help me they said the account is handed over to MBD(out of their hands). MBD just wants payments. My question how can I incur debt with a place(virgin active) if i'm already in debt with them.</p>
