Debit Order Disgust

This is my first month to be debited by Virgin Active. I was part of the "Get January and February Free" promotion. Turns out, you pay for February because they debit you on the 1st/ However, they did not debit me on the 1st; they debited me on the 17th. I do not have money in my account, and therefore, the debit order has bounced, almost putting me in a minus. This is a HUGE inconvenience for me, and I can see other people are complaining. The consultant I spoke to told me she cannot stop the debit order, when I told her I would pay at a Virgin Active. I cannot believe this, I am going to be in a minus now!!!
