Day light ******* by Virgin Active!!! Dont believe what you get told when you join about Cancellation Fee:(

<p>I joined the Fores****, Cape Town gym in May. I specifically asked the Sales Consultant, Mohamed, about the Cancellation Fee- and he said i'd be charged 40% of my montly fee. He did NOT say 40% of the remaining months of the contract.</p> <p> </p> <p>I changed the club to Sea Point - but for several reasons - I'm honestly unable to come to the gym and therefore decided to cancel my membership.</p> <p> </p> <p>I called Admin today and told them I want to cancel. Suddenly th story has changed - I'm now told its 40% of the remaining 20 months of my 2 year contract - meaning I owe them R5000.00+ I mean honestly what kind of business ethic is that. What would you even consider letting someone pay R5000.00 when you can see they've only been to the gym less 5 days in the last 4 months, since joining. </p> <p> </p> <p>My contract doesnt even state this. It refers to a "reasonable amount". nothing about paying for all the remaining months - Otherwise I would not have joined.</p> <p> </p> <p>I'm so disgusted, by this whole thing and cannot believe an organisation this big could have such policies - that are clearly NOT client centric.</p> <p> </p> <p>I refuse to pay R5000.00 - that is far from reasonable, as you claim in your contract. And worse, its not what they Sales Consultant told me. </p> <p> </p>
