customer contract awareness

The gym as a facility is beautiful . My bad rating is based on the customer service . When getting my membership , i had not been made aware that it is a 24month contract . I have worked in sales before and the employer makes it very clear to you that you should NEVER forget to state to the client that he/she is entering a time based contract . What upsets me most is that i asked the genltemen how could this affect my credit score , and his response was no it wouldnty affect it at all , at that time he could have told me that it is a 24 month contract . In asking this i made it clear to him that i dont know how everything works because its my first membership , so i asked him to explain everything to me . He went on and on about the facility and eqcuipment but made no mention of the 24 month contract
