Contracts

I took out a Virgin Active contract for 1 year as I was pregnant and wanted to swim through my pregnancy. Now that my baby is old enough for me to return to yoga, running and cycling I do not need the contract anymore so thought that I could give the contract to my husband for the last 2 months of the contract. He would have loved this and possibly taken a contract himself at the end of my contract. At the end of the day it doesn't matter who uses the contract its the same family. However, when I asked if this could be done they said absolutely not. So I looked at my options: To put my contract on hold was going to cost me R233 a month - which is high so that's not an option. To cancel my contract it would cost me R311. So I decided to do this. When I explained the situation to the call center lady she couldn't have cared too hoots that Virgin Active do not offer a shorter term contract (ie a pregnancy contract) /an option where you can give the contract to another member. She warned me that the normal feel might go off my account as well as the R311 - which is has. You would have had a future customer in my next pregnancy and possibly my husband as well - now you have lost clients
