Cancelling of Contract/Safety Hazard
One of the Virgin active Staff members from my club contacted the contact centre to cancel my contract with Virgin Active in December 2014, the contact centre agent/officer advised that the next month's payment will be deemed as my cancellation fee as the amount is R269.00 and the cancellation was +-R300.00, I confirmed this with the contact centre agent/officer on the day. On the 20th of January 2015 a payment of R270.00 was made to virgin active via Internet Transfer. On the 1st of February 2015, another debit order (R268.00) was debited from my account. I contacted the contact centre 4 times on 02/02/2015 and 3 times on 03/02/2015 without success eventually I was successful in making the call and spoke to one of the agents from the contact centre. The lady advised that the contract was not cancelled and that she cannot answer for the other agent that I contacted in December 2014. I was also advised that I would be charged another cancellation fee if the agent/officer would cancel the contract today. One of the main reasons I cancelled was due to the fact that the club is a safety hazard as majority of the equipment is old and dangerous to use, the weights are on the floor.
Thank you so much for taking my call today.
On behalf of Virgin Active I would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused to you.
As per our telephonic conversation, I have informed you that I would be listening to the call recording and feedback will be provided to you shortly.
Kindest regards
Robyn
