Beyond disgusted

Firstly, my car gets damaged at your gym due to your greed. Then your gym staff asks me to submit a claim knowing very well it would be rejected. Secondly, your spin dr Dave Luis contacts me to "chat to me about the Hello Peter post". His idea of addressing a customer's complaint is to "talk at a customer" instead of listening and showing empathy. I responded by asking him if the purpose of his call was to give me a lecture.

He "promised" to investigate the matter and revert to me via email. He did this, knowing very well Virgin Actice had no intention to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for damages to my car that occured as a result of the organisation's greed.

After contacting me via telephone, he sent me an email on September 26. In the email body, he carefully avoided addressing the real "issue" - damage to my car that occured as a result of Virgin Active's greed: Wanting to see a parking lot full of cars and thus ensure maximum sales and not taking into consideration the risk they posed to members' cars. He went on, quoting stats about gym subscription and how the gym has given me a free upgrade for a month so I can explore other clubs and conveniently forgetting that the damage to my car will not go away all by itself.

What makes me angry is the fact that the parking lot was filled to capacity the day my car got damaged and the spin dr does not want to address this issue.

Like a typical spin dr who knew he had no intention of addressing the "real issue". Dave wrote..."Please bear with me while I get the feedback from Jacques regarding the parking situation and I will send this to you as soon as I have it."

Of course he never bothered to send the "feedback". I had to ask for it on 01, November. 36 days later!!!

The feedback was nothing but a pathetic email which read as follows:

"The feedback from Jacques is as follows – I hope that it may be of some use to you:

- There is overflow parking just on the other side of the palisade fencing which the landlord has let our members use, at their own risk

- We have requested to be able to formally make this part of our parking, but the landlord has indicated that he has plans to build on the property and will not be giving us any more land to use

- There is often parking around the back of the building which members either don’t know about or choose not to use because it is a longer walk to the club, and this results in congestion

- We have one security guard at the entrance and two roaming security guards and we are meeting with the security company to ask them to be more proactive in the traffic management when it gets congested.

I hope that this will provide a solution for you, going forward.

Regards,

Dave

Luis, Central Resolutions Specialist "

Dave, this is beyond pathetic. Were you counting on me to be stupid and accept your pathetic "resolution" to the damage caused to my car?

Did it ever occur to you that when my car got damaged I was trying to get to the parking "around the back of the building which members either don’t know about or choose not to use because it is a longer walk to the club, and this results in congestion".

The result of the congestion was a multitude of members entering the club and not being told the parking is full.

Dave my car got damaged. I paid R 4983.00 for repairs plus R 1425.00 for uber rides as I had to pay directly out of my pocket and insurance did not pay. I had to fork out R 6408.00 as a result of Virgin Active's greed. I expected you to take responsibility and not treat me like a fool.

You treated me like a fool and that is no way to treat a customer Dave.
