Apparently the Consumer protection act does not apply

I would like to thank Virgin Active for forcing us to do a little further investigation into the matter of dealing with institutions who feel that they are above the consumer protection act. Finally we found a easier solution than repeated phonecalls and e-mails.

The consultant that did our membership gave us incorrect information and based on that information we made the decision to join virgin active. Consumer protection legislation states that a company must supply sufficient information so that the consumer can make an informed decision.

We then after that were denied access to the gym on the specific times we wanted to go. We were told that the time we wanted to gym is not included in the package. The product was marketed to us including the time frame.

We got in touch with the operations manager and was told that our only option was to upgrade to the full package. This is nonsense as a company has to deliver the services they offer and the company takes responsibility for any information given by an employee.

We now have been denied access to the gym for the times we can go for months.

So that leaves us with only one option left and that is the small claims court.

Thank you virgin active for the worst customer service ever.
