Additional Unnecessary Charges

I have been a member with Virgin Active for two years now and I am happy with their service until now. I have a normal contract that allows me to attend my local branch, Roodepoort. I recently moved to East London and called HQ to change clubs. I was told that there is a charge of R135.00 to make the change. I was happy to pay the charge as I realize that it is a different club and I did not pay them a joining fee. I then came back to Joburg for a 3 week visit and asked to visit the Roodepoort gym during that time. They charged me again to make the change. When I went back to EL they then charged me again.

I have complained to the consultants about it but they say this is a mandatory policy when changing clubs. I moved back to Joburg in September 2015 and paid another R135.00. I then asked the Roodepoort branch if the clubs would be open during December, as they normally are and they said they would. I went on holiday to EL again only to be told that the clubs only open from the 16th December. I asked to change the club again and agreed, once again to pay the R135.00. On return from my holiday I am being charged again.
WHY do I have to pay to return to my original club???
