Accounts

My account was in arrears and was told by one off the call centre agents that if I decide to continue with my membership I will have to pay 50% of the amount in arrears, did likewise the following day, but I couldn’t sign a new contract as the guys at the Gym didn’t know what the next step was as I am a Vitality member and wanted to continue with my Vitality gym contract. So I contacted the call centre again, and was told I need to contact Vitality tom confirm with them on whether I should pay the once off activation fee again or not, I don’t see why I have to pay the activation fee again when I paid it in November and it’s not even a year, why should I pay the R1300 twice in less than a year? Anyway after having gone back and forth between Vitality and Virgin active the guys at Vitality said that if Virgin active sends them an email saying the contract was cancelled erroneously the once off fee will be waived away, after a month of me calling to find out what happened after the send email was to have been sent I was sent from pillar to post and every time the Virgin active agents would tell me that a team leader will call me back of which they never did. Two weeks back I called again and a team leader who dealt with my matter (Damian) told me that the email was sent to Vitality and that I should contact Vitality. Fine I called Vitality and was told they never received such an email, to guys at Vitality said that they will follow up with Damian and get back to me of which they also never did so. Again after calling the Virgin active call centre time and time again and being told that a team leader will get back to me and again no one got back to me, I finally got through to Damian again and he told me that he had logged a call and basically that the results of the call he logged was that I need to pay the once off activation fee again. Now my issues I that why is it that I had to go back and forth and no one got back to me, was Damian lying to me when he said that the email was sent to Vitality and that you guys were waiting on them (as I called Vitality again and they still had not received such an email), again why did Damian change from saying that en email had been sent to saying a call had been logged? Yes I know it’s my fault that the account was in arrears but why do I have to pay the activation fee twice in less than a year? That’s over R2600, that’s just ****, and why is that none of them got back to me regarding the matter, why did it have to drag for over a moth for me to get feedback? And again the guys at Vitality still say they never received an email from Virgin active.
