Account debited despite cancelation in cooling off period

I entered into a possible contratc with Virgin Active, canceled within the colling off period and was told my account would still be debited but that the debit would be reversed. I received the cancelation of the contract and as warned the first month's payment came out of my accounts regardless.

Despite following up on this, the debit ammount which came out of my account was not reversed and non of my request to when I will receive my money back has been responded.

I find both the fact that money was taken despite canceling the contract in time and the fact that the money has not been returned unacceptable as well as ******* and want it addressed immediatly.
