6 Months of Billing i never knew about

Got a mail from VA to say that I was in arrears on my account...? turns out it was reinstated billing for my daughters club V account. When I eventually got hold of someone the billing was running for 6 months apparently against a bank account that I had closed over a year ago. How does it take 6 months to realise this problem and get hold of someone.... Now the billing which I could have cancelled back then as we are not making use of the service and only incurred 1 billing is now far greater. I asked how can they bill people without sending out invoices or statements as well, that is a basic business requirement even if you are on a subscription!! I spoke to someone else and they promised they would escalate my concerns and unhappiness and nothing again for weeks. Another billing is probably on my way and they still havent fixed anything!!! Its seriously poor admin, finance and customer service and im not happy. Can someone get hold of me, get it resolved for once and for all and give me confirmation of a closed case!
